This video doesn't show how WSJ Social, now available on Facebook, works, but does make a point about ease of sharing news. And it's cute. I've been reading WSJ Social for a couple days. It does represent a shift in thinking about the delivery of news.

Microsoft looks like they've developed a winner, reimagining the tablet rather than just imitating the iPad. I'm gonna have to get one when they come out. Keep in mind this is a prototype tablet with an alpha version of Windows 8 -- imagine how cool it'll be when it's ready for release!

I liked what Amber MacArthur had to say in a Globe and Mail article: "It explains how to engage in smart commenting online and asks employees to be respectful about how they use these tools on the job. While an educational and informative social media policy, whether in online form or in video form, won't stop everyone from abusing online access, it's a good start."

Intel shares its employee social media training with the world. I've been involved with social media training efforts for other companies and am always impressed with those that are willing to let everyone else see what they're telling their employees. Nice job from Intel. Another company that has done this: Australian telco Telstra.

I've been intrigued by some of the HTML 5 experiments out there (like the amazing video from OKGO), and now Adobe is set to release a product that makes some of these HTML 5 animations easy. No Flash here, which means Adobe will continue to be relevant HTML 5-as-Flash-alternative becomes more common. Adobe also has an Flash-to-HTML5 converter. (Hat tip to Liz Strauss)
